景云钟是目前唯一存世的由皇帝亲自撰文书写铭文并监工铸造的青铜大钟，几乎代表着唐代冶铸技术的最高水平，因而被列入首批禁止出国（境）展览文物名录，被誉为“天下第一名钟”。（铜雕厂家）

Jing Yunzhong is the only bronze bell with the inscription written by the Emperor himself and the supervisor at the moment. It represents almost the highest level of smelting and casting technology in the Tang Dynasty. Therefore, it is listed as the first batch of cultural relics forbidden to go abroad, and is known as "the first clock in the world".

唐朝景云二年（公元711年），唐睿宗李旦巡幸周至，夜宿行宫时于梦中见到霞光满天，祥云缭绕其身，睿宗以此为大吉之兆，遂下令皇家所属工匠铸钟以志。大钟还没全部铸造完成，睿宗就提前命人在刚刚落成不久的景龙观（后改名迎祥观）修建钟楼，并亲自撰写大钟铭文，即《景龙观钟文》。在当时的长安城内，景龙观乃是道教香火兴盛之地，又靠近繁华的崇仁坊，将铜钟放置于观内钟楼再适合不过，李旦还评价称宝钟放置于此是“行三重楼以凭观”。后人因此称该铜钟称为“景龙观钟”，亦称“景云钟”。

In the two years of the Tang Dynasty (711 AD), Tang Ruizong and Li Dan visited Zhouzhi. When they were in the palace, they saw the sun shone in their dreams. The clouds were wrapped around them. Before all the big bells were cast, Ruizhong ordered people to build the bell tower in Jinglong Guan (later renamed Yingxiangguan) which had just been completed. He wrote the inscription of the big bell himself, Jinglong Guanzhong Wen. At that time, Jing Long Guan was the place where Taoist incense flourished, and it was close to the prosperous square. The bronze bell was placed in the view clock tower, but Li Dan also commented that the treasure bell was placed in the "three towers". Later generations therefore called the copper bell "Jinglong Guanzhong", also known as "Jingyun Bell".

景云钟通高247厘米，腹围486厘米，口径165cm，重逾6吨，无论是当时还是现在，都算得上是一个庞然大物。大钟通体以铜锡合金铸成，通过铸模痕迹分析，当初铸造之时共分为五段26块进行铸模。该钟形态为上锐下侈，钟口则是六角弧形。在钟身配有可调节音律的“蒲牢”形钟乳32枚，其声纯美优雅、清脆洪亮。

Jing Yunzhong was 247 centimeters tall, 486 centimeters in circumference, 165cm in diameter and weighed more than 6 tons. Dazhongtong body is made of copper-tin alloy. According to the analysis of casting trace, it was divided into five sections and 26 pieces. The shape of the bell is sharp and luxurious, and the bell mouth is a hexagonal arc. The bell body is equipped with 32 "Pulao" shaped milk bells with adjustable rhythm. Its voice is pure, elegant, clear and bright.
