圆口，方唇，鼓腹，圆底，三蹄足。此鼎形制雄伟，堪称楚国重器。铜鼎通高113厘米，口径87厘米，耳高36.5厘米，腹围290厘米，深52厘米，足高67厘米，重达400千克左右。形制为圆口方唇，鼓腹圆底，三蹄足。颈侧附双耳，耳上部略外展。鼎腹饰一周突起圆箍，双耳及颈部外壁饰有模印菱形几何纹，足根部饰有浮雕旋涡纹。

Tongding is 113 cm in height, 87 cm in diameter, 36.5 cm in ear height, 290 cm in abdominal circumference, 52 cm in depth, 67 cm in foot height and 400 kg in weight. The shape is round mouth, square lips, round belly and round bottom, three hooves and feet. Two ears are attached to the side of the neck, and the upper part of the ear is slightly abducted. The belly of the tripod is decorated with a raised hoop, the outer walls of the ears and neck are decorated with diamond shaped geometric patterns, and the foot root is decorated with relief vortex patterns.

善缘宝鼎设计为三足鼎立造型，鼎高７．１５８米，最大直径５．８米，重９０吨。大鼎分３层，鼎耳高１．８４２米，鼎身高３．６８米，鼎足高１．４８米。鼎身一周分８格，其中６格分别为四大佛教名山实景图、西来寺全景图及募鼎图，另两格分别铭有“西来古寺”和“善缘宝鼎”八个大字。
